Jerome A. Kaczmarek, a proud welding field expert and dedicated family man, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2026. Born on February 1, 1953, in Buffalo, New York, Jerry began his career in the welding field at the young age of 16. He loved his work and was proud of his profession. In recent years, he served as the branch manager for Airgas in Nashville, Tennessee, after transferring from Buffalo in 2014.
Jerry was deeply connected to his roots. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres and took great pride in being from Buffalo. His Polish heritage was also very important to him. Among his hobbies, he especially enjoyed visiting casinos to play slot machines.
Above all else, Jerome loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lore Kaczmarek; their children Jerry Kaczmarek and his wife Jeannine, Michelle Avitia and her husband Jesse, and Kevin Kaczmarek and his wife Kelly; his grandchildren Trevor, Jeremy, Paige, Jeena, Benjamin, Charlotte, and Nolan; and his sister Justine Krasuski.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Emily Kaczmarek, and his brothers, Richard and James Kaczmarek.
A memorial gathering to honor Jerome’s life will be held on March 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, located at 104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
Jerome’s love of family, his dedication to his craft, and his pride in his heritage will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
