Jeffery Len Carlson, 69, of Gallatin Tennessee, passed away on January 2, 2024.

Born on November 4, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, to parents Clarence and Jean Carlson. Jeff had a deep love for family, faith, and adventure.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Jean Carlson, as well as his paternal grandparents Clarence and Violet E. Carlson, and his grandmother Madelon G. Wright.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Judy Carlson, his daughter Tracy (Jesse) Minor, son Cory (Devan) Carlson, son Ryan (Brittany) Carlson, and son Tyler (Hannah) Carlson. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jesse Minor, Lilly Minor, Owen Minor, and Adalyn Carlson. Jeff also leaves behind his brother James (Karen) Carlson, sister Debbie Carlson, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Jeff had a deep spiritual connection. As a born-again Christian, he found immense fulfillment in studying the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible. His intelligence and dedication led him to conduct thorough research and analysis, further enriching his spiritual journey.

He was a wonderful husband and father who loved and sacrificed for his family. He enjoyed coaching and cheering on his children at their many sporting events. His great sense of humor brought joy to all those around him; he had an infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest of days. Jeff was never short on funny anecdotes or witty remarks – he truly was a funny guy.

Throughout his life, Jeff embraced a strong work ethic that was grounded in loyalty and dependability. He retired from General Motors after dedicating 30 years as an auto worker. He was a true family man who took great pride in caring for his loved ones. Whether it was lending a helping hand or offering words of wisdom, Jeffery was always there when you needed him the most.

Jeff’s love for water that truly captured his heart. Whether it was spending time at Old Hickory Lake on his boat, every moment spent near the water held a cherished place in Jeff’s heart. Jeff also enjoyed traveling to Florida beaches. The calming waves and sandy shores provided him with tranquility and relaxation. And while he appreciated the simple pleasures of life, there was another passion that ignited his spirit – watching University of Michigan Football games. Cheering on his beloved team brought him excitement and camaraderie.

When he wasn’t indulging in his hobbies and interests, Jeff found solace in listening to music. His appreciation for different genres knew no bounds; he found beauty in every note and rhythm. Furthermore, he possessed an admirable talent for fixing things and loved taking on do-it-yourself projects. Jeff’s determination and resourcefulness allowed him to tackle any challenge that came his way, including helping local non-profit organizations.

A Memorial Gathering will be held in honor of Jeff Len Carlson on January 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066. Following the gathering, a Memorial Service will commence at 2:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM at the same location. https://www.alexandergallatin.com

Jeff Len Carlson leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family and faith. His warm smile and comforting presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that he touched many lives with his kindness and genuine spirit.
