Janice Maria Youngblood, age 73, passed away on June 15, 2025, following a long illness. She was born on Mother’s Day, May 11, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gene Lowery and Dorothy Sheppard Lowery, as well as her brother, Art Lowery.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert J. Youngblood; her sister, Barbara (Mike) Daltow; her daughters, Christie (Brian) McComb and Debbie (Donnie) Haefele; her sons, William (Deborah) Youngblood and Tony (Kelly) Youngblood. She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Anthony, Michael, Brandon, Sara, Jamie, Erin and Sean, as well as six great-grandchildren.
During her working years, Janice was employed in both retail and home health care. She especially loved her work in home health care, where she demonstrated a special talent for caring for patients with Alzheimer’s disease.
In accordance with her wishes, Janice was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held later.
