Janelle-Dean-Jackson

Janelle Dean Jackson, age 69, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on November 4, 2024.

Janelle was a lover of Jesus and her family. She never met a stranger and could always put a smile on your face. She was a Cargo Relocating Engineer with Ryder Logistics, where she received an Exemplary Driving Award by achieving 1,000,000 miles without a preventable collision. She later retired from Ryder and always loved to brag that she got paid to travel the world.

Janelle was a huge fan of Dwight Yoakam and could sing every song he ever had. She loved card and game nights with friends and family, casino trips, fishing and any time she got to spend with her family singing, reminiscing and eating bar-b-que.

She was the best Mee-maw to her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She was very proud that Dalton and Jaxson continue to carry on the tradition of the Dean middle name and that Georgia and Rhianna carry on the Janelle name. She got her love of music and singing from her father Omar, who lovingly called her Nelly. She received peace at the end of her life journey by listening to a tape her father made of himself in 1976 singing his own songs and playing guitar. At the time of her passing, Janelle was surrounded by family and lots of love.

Janelle was preceded in death by her father Omar Jackson, Son baby Robert, and her good dog Max.

She is survived by her mother Claudia Jackson; sisters Connie Smith and Karen Jackson; brothers Mitchell Jackson, Curtis Jackson and Robert Jackson. She is also survived by her daughters Rhonda Loyd, Holly Stadelman and Georgia Rossey, her bonus daughters Melissa Brown and Amanda Whiteaker, and bonus son Chuck Loyd; grandkids Shelby (Dylan) Smith, Chris Hurst, Tylor (Hailey) Victory, Dylan (Madison Lamb) Hilton, Konner Perkins, Rhianna (Landon Austin) Victory, Lyndsey White, Dalton (Chrystal LaFever) Perkins, Brady Loyd and Eden Warner (bonus grandson); great-grandchildren Eli, Blakely, and Indie Hurst, Jaxson, Levi and Bennett Perkins, Maverick and Bristol Hilton and Braelyn Austin.

A Memorial Service will be held on November 23, 2024, 12:00 p.m. at: Lighthouse Church 6141 Saundersville Rd. Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 https://www.smithfamilyfcs.com
