James Spivey, age 91 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

Mr. Spivey was born July 27, 1933 to the late Eston Spivey and Versie Moss Spivey.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Spivey and Ralph Spivey; and sisters, Thelma Meadows and Alma Bauer.

He is survived by wife of 72 years, Mary Nunley Spivey of Gallatin; daughter, Glenda Hammock (Larry) of Castalian Springs; son, Keith Spivey (Lisha) of Bethpage; sister, Allyson Forkum of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jason Hammock (Landre), Mary Spann (Chris), Rob Spivey (Erin), and Andrew Spivey (Taylor); and great grandchildren, Kennedy Hammock, Aubrie Hammock, Charlotte Hammock, Mason Deck, Lucas Spann, Victoria Spivey, Christian Spivey, and Palmer Spivey.

Mr. Spivey served our country in the United States Army. He was a devoted Elder at Nashville Road Church of Christ for 26 years and was the founder of Quality Printing Company in 1969.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Andrew Spivey officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, November 4th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Roy Alexander, Jim Hall, Ken Veale, Eric Stephenson, David Johnson, Tim Strickland, Tony Butler, and Lowell Clark serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nashville Road Church of Christ Youth Fund, 1883 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066.
