James Ray Mantlow, age 67 of Springfield, TN passed away January 18, 2026 at his home. He was born August 3, 1958 to the late Bobby and Wanda Mantlow, but was raised by his late uncle, James and aunt, Marjorie Mantlow.
James Ray was well loved and respected by all who knew him. He cherished his family and always went above and beyond to show his love, care, and compassion. He worked hard all of his life and now rests in glory. He had many roles in his lifetime but husband, father, and “Paw Paw” were closest to his heart. He will be forever loved and missed.
In addition to his parents, James Ray was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Mantlow; daughter-in-law, Ashlie Mantlow; and sisters, Patricia Reynolds, Donna Shores, and Brenda Adams. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Mantlow; sons, Jay Mantlow and Joshua Mantlow; brothers, Bobby Ray Mantlow of Lincoln Park, MI, Phillip Mantlow of Adams, TN, and Bobby Joe Mantlow of Lincoln Park, MI; grandson, Bradley Gober; and granddaughter, Ayda Grace Mantlow.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
