Mr. James Oliver Dorris Sr., age 91, of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 7th, 2022.
Mr. Dorris was born in Portland, TN on March 16th, 1931 to the late Johnny Dorris & late Dewey Parker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dorris was preceded in death by siblings, Eugene Dorris, Euradean Dorris, Sandra Davis, Clarabelle Payton, & Nora Dorris.
Mr. Dorris is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Marie Dorris of Cottontown; children, James “Danny” Oliver (Wanda) Dorris Jr. of Portland, Teresa (Glenn) Jackson of Portland, & David (Rika) Dorris of Cottontown; grandchildren, Travis (Beth) Callis of Portland, Haley Tucker of Oklahoma, Twila (Rocky) Reecer of Portland, Holly Skinner of Portland, & Todd (Samantha) Dorris of White House; great-grandchildren, Braden Callis, Jenna Callis, Ayla Reecer, Knox Reecer, Emma Dorris, & Devin Skinner; sister, Betty Jo Hovater.
Funeral service for Mr. Dorris will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Rogers officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Dorris will be on Monday, May 9th, 2022 from 2:00 until 8:00 pm & on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
Interment will be in Halltown Cemetery.
Chris Petitt, Matt Bradley, Travis Callis, Todd Dorris, Rocky Reecer, & Braden James Callis will serve as pallbearers.
