James Daniel McClain, age 44 of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022.
JD touched more lives and hearts than he knew. He had a ministry heart and to know him was to love him. He was a proud member of Restoring Hope Church. He loved studying the Bible, watching movies, eating Buenos chocolate, teaching others about how they are intensely loved by God…just by being, and especially spending time with his kids and going to the creek!
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Black.
JD is survived by his loving wife of 21 years; Heather McClain; mother, Dianna Black; children, Karyss Dianne McClain, Cross Fabery McClain, Evangel Wesley McClain, and Elias Isaac Truth McClain; siblings, Scott Svarnas, Angela Davis, and Angel White; and numerous friends, family, and co-workers.
The celebration of life service will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Restoring Hope Church, 8655 TN-25, Cross Plains, TN 37049 with Pastors Aaron and Amanda Crabb officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 26 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the church.
