J.C. Morris, age 87, of Portland, passed away on March 12th, 2025 at Westmoreland Healthcare & Rehab. Mr. Morris was born in Fountain Head, TN on November 8th, 1937 to the late Jessie Croy Morris & the late Viola Mai Groves-Morris.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Morris; granddaughter, Chasity Davis; siblings, Shirley Polston, Flossie Crowe, Betty Brooks, Marvin Morris, Russell Morris, & Donald Morris.
Mr. Morris is survived by his children, Becky (Kenny) Davis of Lafayette, Marvin Morris of Millersville, Steve Morris of Portland, & Ginger (Jack) South of Portland; grandchildren, Brandon (Sara) Morris of Portland, Rusty (Devin) South of White House, Brent (Lillian) Morris of Portland, Justin Hesson of Portland, April (Josh) Shotwell of Bowling Green, & Amanda (Brian) Puckett of Bethpage; 19 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Birdwell of Greenbrier & Linda Carol Pike of Portland.
Funeral service for Mr. Morris will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Elder Brandon Morris officiating. Visitation for Mr. Morris will be on Friday, March 14th, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Saturday, March 15th, 2025 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm, & on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm (service time) at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in Franklin, KY. Steve Morris, Marvin Morris, Rusty South, Justin Hesson, Brandon Morris, & Brent Morris will serve as pallbearers.
