Imodean Suttle Summers, age 96, of Gallatin, TN passed away in Nashville on May 28th, 2024.
Imodean was born in Portland, TN to the late Ernest Suttle Sr. and Idell Lamberth Suttle on September 8th, 1927.
She is reunited in heaven with her husband of 75 years George Luther Summers. Imodean is also preceded in death by her brothers Ernest Suttle Jr., Melvin Suttle, and Jack Suttle.
She is survived by her four children: Sheron (Rob) Clifton, Anita (Marshel) Davis, Michael Summers, and Mark Summers, five grandchildren; Chase (Lori) Thompson, Brandon (Kimberly) Thompson, Reagan (Greg) Workman, Bryce Davis, Dr. Taylor (Dr. Alaina) Davis. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren: Joshua (Reghan) Thompson, Dr. Barrett (Dr. Victoria) Thompson, Mackenzie Workman, Madeline Workman, Alexander Davis, Emily Thompson, Katherine Thompson, Isabella Davis, and Ellison Davis, and two great-great-great-grandchildren Lukas and Hazel Thompson. Imodean is also survived by her sister Betty (Buford) Suttle Bates, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Imodean was born and raised in Portland, Tennessee, and a graduate of the Portland High School Class of 1945. She, however, spent most of her married life in Gallatin. She would marry the love of her life George Luther Summers on December 21st, 1946. She was a wonderful full-time homemaker and loving mother to her four children. Imodean was a woman of unwavering Christian faith. She was a longtime member of the Hartsville Pike Church of Christ. Originally attending services at the church since 1955.

Services will be held at Alexander Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066, on Monday, June 3rd, 2024. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm, with our funeral service to start promptly at 1.
