Mr. Harvell Raymond “Ray” Short Jr. of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, he was 79 years old.
He was born December 31, 1942, to the late Harvell Sr. and Annie Laura Short.
Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife Sherran Short.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Tori Short; son, Mike Short; granddaughters, Paige Terry and Hanna Short; grand-sons, Peyton Terry and Payne Terry; sister, Nancy Stone; brother, Gil Short.
Ray was a Vietnam Vet for National Security. He worked for DuPont for 36 years as a Millwright specialist. He was a phenomenal golfer and loved to fish along with his wife. Ray was a solid, good, kind and just all-around fantastic man. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 10th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Barry Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9th from 3-7 pm and Wednesday, August 10th from 12 pm until time of service.
