Mr. Harry “Gordon” Hodges, age 82 of Portland, Tennessee passed away on July 28th at his residence. Gordon was born on January 30, 1944 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Frank and Sadie Hodges.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ira Hodges and Bobby Hodges; sisters, Pearl Hudgins, Velma White, Elizabeth Creasy, Edna McCormack and Lucille Hand.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sue Hodges; daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Morgan, Sylvia Hodges and Shelia (Chuck) Luckado; son, Ty Hodges; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Doug (Lois) Hodges; sisters, Shirley Hartigan, Patty Penton and Janie Gregory.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 31st at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Gary Sullivan and Bro. Clayton Hall officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery with Steven Hodges, Randy Hodges, Ricky Andrews, Chuck Thornton, Cole Cook and Gary Hall serving as pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Thursday, July 30th from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday, July 31st from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
