Glenda Sue Brinkley (Hayes), 82, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Glenda Sue Brinkley was born in Charlotte, Tennessee to Allen Malloy Hayes and Lois O’Dell Duke on December 30, 1940.
She went to Dupont High School in Old Hickory, Tennessee. She wed James Dorris Brinkley on December 24, 1959. Glenda worked at Wessington Elementary and Beech High School in the cafeteria as well as the Hill’s Department store in Hendersonville. She loved her dogs, Sandy (deceased) and Coco. She enjoyed shopping and watching wrestling.
Glenda Brinkley is preceded in death by her mother and father, twin sister, Lenda Clary, brother, Joe Hayes, her husband, James Dorris Brinkley and son, James Darryl Brinkley.
Glenda is survived by Randy Brinkley-son; Jodi Brinkley- Daughter-In-Law; Lisa Brinkley-Daughter-In-Law; Grandchildren: Joshua Sadler (Jessica), Darell Kirkwood (Casey) Kimberly Brinkley, James Allen Brinkley (Amy), and James Brian Brinkley.
She is also survived by her Great Grandchildren: Charlie, Preston, Dacion, Destiny, Jackson, Drew, Christopher, Bentley, Aiden, Grayson, and Elijah.
Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 and 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
The funeral service will follow on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Hendersonville Funeral Home with sermon by Johnny Pons. Burial will be held following the service at the Mausoleum behind the funeral home. Arrangements are by Hendersonville Funeral Home. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
Pallbearers will be Joshua Sadler, Darell Kirkwood, James Allen Brinkley, James Elijah Brinkley, Christopher Poole, Jason Douglas, and Jimmy Douglas.
