Geretta Weidner, age 59 of Gallatin, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
Mrs. Weidner was born June 11, 1965 in Nashville.
Geretta loved helping others and spending time with family and friends. She loved being called “Retta” by those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by grandparents, Margarette and Junior Brewer; aunt and uncle, Billy and Betty Brewer; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Geri Weidner; and father, Stephen Steele.
She is survived by husband of 38 years, Jon Weidner of Gallatin; daughter, Jessica Weidner of Gallatin; son, Brant Weidner (Nicci Alves) of Gallatin; mother, Barbara Steele of Gallatin; grandson, Jon Summers; aunts and uncles, Mickey Hunt (Bob), Danny Brewer, Brenda Donahue, and Richard Brewer (Ann); brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Donna Weidner of Gallatin; nephews, Garrett Weidner (Brittany) of Castalian Springs and Tyler Weidner (Tuesday) of Gallatin; several loving cousins; several special “bonus” children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly; and her four-legged “furry” grandchildren, Bokeh and Gidget, who she spoiled/” accommodated” daily.
Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Steven Russell and Elder Ronnie Tennant officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 24th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Monday, November 25th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Historic Gallatin Cemetery, with Brant Weidner, Charles Jackson, Robert Ridgway, Garrett Weidner, Tyler Weidner, Cameron Crutcher, Johnny Hall, Emmett Hunt, and Henry Hunt serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Feed Sumner Food Bank and Ministry, 1121 Gregory Drive, Gallatin, TN 37066.
