Mr. George Ray Jenkins, age 93, Indianapolis, Indiana, and formerly Lafayette, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral services for George Ray Jenkins are scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 2 PM, from The Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor David Spears officiating. Interment will follow in The Testament Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 10 AM until service time at 2 PM.
He was preceded in death by Daughters, Reginia G. Jenkins Hunnicutt and Patricia Jenkins Carr; Son, Denny C. Jenkins; Grandson, Jeremiah M. Cummins; Great-Granddaughter, Heather Davis Deal; Parents, Orel Clarence Jenkins and Loretta M. Bray Jenkins; Brothers, Quentin B. Jenkins, Ransom D. Jenkins, and Kenneth C. Jenkins, and The Mother of His Children, Melvaline Whittemore Jenkins.
