Frederick Scott Bacon, age 82, passed away on April 10, 2023.
He was born on August 11, 1940 in Turtle Creek (Allegheny), Pennsylvania to the late Sarah Jane McGough and Sheldon Scott Bacon. Fred is also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lee Bacon; and sister, Mary Dick.
Fred is survived by children, Candace Lee Lewis (Dan) and Eric Scott Bacon (Kathy); grandchildren, Alexander Scott Bacon, Zachary William Lewis, and Trevor Lee Lewis; and sister, Debbie Frost (Mike).
He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church where he also sang with the church choir. Fred was a true entertainer and performer. He loved acting, dancing, performing, and entertaining. He was a member of Hendersonville Performing Arts Company and Hendersonville Community Singers. Fred used his skills to entertain residents of nursing homes.
He also enjoyed traveling, volunteering with Meals on Wheels, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fred served his country in the United States Army.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will also take place on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com

Fred had a great since of humor and was multi talented. I enjoyed many great conversations with him over the few years that we were acquainted. Our loss, Heavens gain! Till we meet in heaven, my friend!
