Mrs. Frances Scudder Dye passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, she was 87 years old.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Norman Glenn Gaines and Gladys Maurine Gaines; her first husband, John Michael Scudder and her second husband, K.W. Dye, son-in-law, Jerry Huff.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Jan) Scudder and her daughter, Debby Scudder; grandchildren, Mike (Dee) Scudder, Matt (Karlie) Scudder, Ashley (Travis) Davidson, Hunter Redding and Johnny Redding; great-grandchildren, Travis Davidson and Londynn Davidson. Frances is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Frances was born on June 18, 1935, in Gainesboro, TN. She was a faithful Christian woman and a devoted member of the Church of Christ all her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and had a gentle loving spirit. She loved traveling and went to all 50 states and multiple countries. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and piecing quilts, but most of all she loved her little dog, Susie-Q.

In her earlier years of her marriage, she was devoted to her husband, John and their children. Later she worked with the Davidson County Clerk’s Office for over twenty years, until her retirement.

Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Scudder, Matt Scudder, Hunter Redding, Johnny Redding, Travis Davidson, Mike Bogle, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will include the elders of the Hendersonville Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to whispering Pine Church Camp (Hendersonville Church of Christ.)
