Elizabeth H. Hill, age 89, of Hendersonville, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in Portland, TN.
Elizabeth was born in Sulfur Lick, KY, and was the daughter of the late Jesse Lynn and Jewel Carder Hays.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her loving husband Ernest “Ernie” Hill; son Joseph “Joey” Venable III (Robin); granddaughters Laurie Carman (Alan) and Katie Venable; grandson Carder Venable; great-granddaughter Mary Alice Carman; step-grandchildren Brandon Hill (Kayla); Ben Hill (Cassandra Page); step-great-grandchildren; Parker Hill, Hadleigh Hill, and Leila Page.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lee Venable, Jr. and her brothers Gene Hays and Jesse Hays, Jr.
Services to celebrate Mrs. Hill’s life will be at 11 am on the morning of Monday, December 13, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Grubb officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville. Pallbearers will be Carder Venable, Alan Carman, Brandon Hill, Ben Hill, George Austin, and Mitch Crenshaw. Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm on the afternoon of Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home and one hour prior to the start of the service on Monday from 10 am-11 am.
In Lieu of floral tributes, the family has requested the donations be made to GracePoint Church in Gallatin, TN.
Elizabeth will be remembered as being gracious and loving to all that knew her; she was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and a current member of GracePoint Church.
