E. Ruthann Neff, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2024, in her home, where she lived with family in Gallatin, TN.
Ruthann was born on November 3rd, 1965, in Lakewood, OH to late Phyllis and Virgil Neff.
She graduated in the class of 1984 from Greenon High School in Enon, OH. She received a degree in early childhood education in 1993 from Sinclair College in Dayton, OH. She worked at Meijer in Englewood, OH for 13 years where she made lifelong friends. Ruthann was previously living in Dayton, OH but recently moved to Tennessee with her son and his family.
Ruthann is survived by her sister Julie Bowers, brother-in-law Rennes Bowers, brother Chris Neff, sister-in-law Lori Neff, son Matthew Neff, daughter-in-law Julie Neff, grandchildren (Jasmine, Kayla, Matthew Jr., Jaylynn, Roxanna, Elliana, Lucas, Leeana, Cam’ron, Emberlee’Ann, and Alexander), great-grandchildren on the way (Harper, and Rosalee), and many other family and friends.
Ruthann enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and dog Rilee. Her grandchildren were her world, and she was looking forward to soon becoming a great-grandma. She was sensitive, sweet, selfless, and caring. She had a special talent for remembering everyone’s birthday. She loved country music and playing the guitar. She also loved watching sports and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, and Pittsburgh Penguins. A good day for her involved relaxing on the couch with a blanket and her dog while watching her TV shows. Her favorite foods were fried chicken, liver/onions, steak, mushrooms, and onion rings.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, November 2nd at 2 PM at Target Dayton Ministries located at 111 Xenia Ave. Dayton, OH 45410.
