It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Jonathan Perry Singer, aged 75, who departed this life on March 15, 2025, in Portland, Tennessee. Born on June 10, 1949, in San Francisco, California, Dr. Singer will be remembered as a dedicated psychiatrist and a compassionate healer.
Dr. Singer earned his doctorate in psychiatry and devoted his professional career to helping others. He operated his own private practice, where his expertise and understanding profoundly impacted the lives of many. His commitment to mental health was evident in his introspective approach and genuine care for his patients.
In addition to his contributions to the field of psychiatry, Dr. Singer proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting on June 9, 1969, and achieving the rank of Specialist 4 before his discharge on December 31, 1971. His service to his country reflects his dedication and sense of duty.
A graveside service will be held on March 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The ceremony will take place at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221. Family, friends, and all who knew Dr. Singer are invited to attend to pay their respects and celebrate his life.
Dr. Jonathan Perry Singer leaves behind a rich legacy of compassion, commitment, and healing that will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he changed for the better.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Susan Adank.
