Mrs. Doris Morgan Anthony, age 93 of Gallatin TN was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Sumner Regional Medical Center, Gallatin TN.
Doris was born on February 7, 1928 to William Burrell Morgan and Rae White Morgan in Christiansburg, VA.
She was the first of five siblings. At an early age, she joined Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church in Christiansburg, VA. She joyfully taught in the Sumner County Public School System for 35 years, where she inspired students to strive for excellence at Union Elementary and Guild Elementary Schools. She was a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and an active member of First Baptist Church on Winchester Street, AARP, NAACP, and the Retired Teachers Association.
