Donald Eugene Spalding, age 81 of Portland, TN, passed away May 2, 2025, at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown.
Don is survived by his wife, Barbara Curtis Spalding of 44 years, daughter Tammy Crafton, stepdaughter Joanne Murdock, stepson Jimmy E. Bailiff; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 8 bonus grandchildren, and numerous bonus great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Allen, stepdaughter Janet Brown, his parents Arthur William Spalding, Jr. and Willie Irene Hearn Spalding, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
A private celebration honoring Don’s life will be held at a later date. Let us keep his wife, Barbara, his children, and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
