Donald-L.-Donnie-Stover

Donald L. “Donnie” Stover passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022.

Donnie was born on October 24, 1959, to Henry and Betty (Robbins) Stover in Nashville, Tennessee.

Donnie was the owner of Stover & Sons Contractors, Inc., based out of Madison, Tennessee. Outside of work, he had a passion for all things outdoors, from hunting and fishing to traveling to the mountains and the beach.

He often spent his free time watching Western movies, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and the Tennessee Titans, and riding in his Corvette while listening to his favorite country crooners like Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash.

But his true love was for his family. As his boys were growing up, Donnie devoted his time to encouraging their interests and hobbies. As he got older, he loved cheering on his grandchildren in their sporting and school events and hosting family gatherings at home, especially ones centered around the pool. Donnie never met a stranger, always had a story to tell, and enjoyed meeting new people wherever his travels took him.

Donnie is preceded in death by his brother Dewayne Stover.

He is survived by Renee, his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 42 years, and his sons Kyle (Stacy) Stover of Hendersonville, Kory (Angela) Stover of Nolensville, and Kody Stover of Las Vegas, NV; his parents Henry and Betty Stover; grandchildren Gavin, Emma, Owen, Mason, Austin, Alexa, and Faith. In addition, he is survived by his sister Debbie (Kevin) Denny, his nephew and trusted business partner Ryan (Andrea) Stover, and many close friends and loyal employees.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com

In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations to the American Red Cross. Donnie donated blood to the organization for many years, always eager to find ways to help others.
