Mrs. Deborah “Debbie” Thacker Brooks, age 68 of Portland, TN passed away on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on May 22nd, 1958 to the late Don and Dorothy Thacker in Grundy, Virginia.
Mrs. Debbie is preceded in death by her fathers, Don Thacker and Claude Cope; mother, Dorothy Sue Thacker Cope; grandson, Tyler Richards; and twin baby sisters, Mary Lou and Linda Sue Thacker.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Roger Brooks; daughter, Susie Thacker; step son, Chris Brooks (Christy); grandchildren, Kirsten Hyman, Jackson Richards, and Allyssa Richards (Colton); step grandson, Kendall Brooks; great grandchildren, Neveah Hyman and Marcell Tyler Hyman; sisters, Donna Swendell (John) and Carol Martin (Rick); brothers, Speedy Cope (Sharon) and Gary Cope (Barbie);
The family has chosen cremation. There are no services to be announced at this time.
