David Hugh Bass, 81, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on March 14, 2023 with his loving family at his bedside.
David was born to the late Hugh and Winnie Bass on July 10, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee.
David graduated from East High School in Nashville with the class of 1959.
David loved art and was a great artist. David worked two jobs from the age of 17 to 70! He began his day at the United Methodist Publishing House and ended it working at HG Hills—37 years with each company!
David’s favorite sport was football and the Dallas Cowboys were his team. David also loved Elvis and birds. However, his biggest love was the beach; and Laguna Beach was his favorite. He had two houses there and would drive straight down to spend a weekend at his favorite spot.
Above all, David loved the Lord. He was a very hard worker, an honest man, and you would never hear a bad word come from his mouth. He remained stoic through his battle enduring pain for almost 2 years.
David is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Gary) Branum; his son, David Bryan (Cami) Bass; grandchildren, Kyle (Lisa) Smith, Harper and Berkleigh; and his best friend of 30 years, Arlene Hille.
A visitation for Mr. Bass will be at Hendersonville Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
