CLAUDIA JAN JACKSON – age 91 of Gallatin, Tennessee formally of Nashville passed away Friday May 2, 2025 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Dimple Sandefur; her husband, Omar Jackson; daughter, Janelle Dean Jackson; sister, Patricia Hill; grandsons, Cory Lee Jackson & Aaron Beck; and grandchildren, Baby Robert & Lillian Grace Lloyd.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Gail (Jerry) Smith, daughter, Karen Jackson, son, Curtis (Sue) Jackson, son, Mitchell (Darlene) Jackson, son, Robert (Deanna) Jackson; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, & 18 great great grandchildren, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Mrs. Jackson was an accomplished artist and talented seamstress. She brought beauty into the world through her hands and heart. Whether with a paintbrush, needle, or thread, she expressed her gifts with grace and care, leaving lasting treasures for those she loved.

A devoted Bible scholar and teacher, Mrs. Jackson poured her faith into the lives of many, guiding others with wisdom, patience, and an unwavering example of God’s grace. Her love for scripture was evident not only in her teaching but in the way she lived – a reflection of compassion, humility, and strength.

She also served as a quiet counselor and patient therapist to family and friends, always offering a listening ear, sound advice, and a gentle spirit. Even in simple moments, she inspired joy and curiosity, playing Scrabble and Rummikub, reading and studying and encouraging others to keep learning and growing.

Mrs. Jackson’s legacy lives on in her family, who carry forward her love of learning, creativity, and faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a graceful matriarch, a faithful servant, and a loving soul whose light continues to shine in all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 7, 2025 in LightHouse Church, 6141 Saundersville Road, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee 37122, 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1150 Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, Tn 37072. Pastor Bob Keich will officiate the services. Family & friends will serve as active pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Jackson to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1801 West End Ave. #200, Nashville, Tn 37203.
