Cheryl Dean Porter, age 75 of Gallatin, was born on Thursday, December 8th, 1949 in Sumner County, Tennessee, to the late Delbert Dean and Edna Robertson Ladd, and passed away on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Ladd, Richard Ladd, Donnie Ladd, and Bobby Ladd; sister, Nettie Ladd Willis; grandson, Garrett Baker.
She is survived by husband, Ralph Porter; children, Lynn(Ricky) Wallace of Gallatin, Ricky (Suzanne) McCall of Franklin, KY, and Mary Ann (Karl) Baker of Hartsville; grandchildren, Christopher Dale Foust, James Warren Foust, and William Karlton Baker; brothers, Danny Ladd of Portland, Larry (Darlene) of Portland, Delbert Ladd of Westmoreland and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved like her own also survive.
Cheryl will be remembered for her smile and loving spirit. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. Honor her for all that her hands have done and let her works bring her peace at the city gates.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at 04:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, January 25th from 01:00 p.m. until time of service at 04:00 p.m.
