Charles “Chuck” Ray Mitchell, age 52, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
He was born on April 2, 1971 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Michael Ray Mitchell and Beverly Mitchell.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Ondie Mitchell; son, Cade Mitchell; mother, Beverly Mitchell; brothers, Chris Mitchell (Alisha) and Chad Mitchell; nieces, Ashlee Brinkley (Christopher) and Cara Willett (Trent); great-nephews, Casen Brinkley and Camden Brinkley; and many other extended family members and friends.
Chuck graduated from Beech High School in 1989 and Freed-Hardeman University in 1996. He cherished his college years and made many memories with his Tri Zeta and Sco Fo Farow groups. Chuck was a sports fanatic always proudly cheering for the Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, and Atlanta Braves. He loved traveling and spending time at the beach and mountains. Chuck valued spending time with his family, friends, and his greatest joy, Cade.
Chuck had fought bravely against spinocerebellar ataxia since 2006. His faith, family, and optimism were his guidepost during the disease. He could always be found with a big smile and positive outlook.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life being held immediately following visitation at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home, and Cremation Center.
