Mr. Carl F. Pedersen of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, he was 88 years old.
Carl had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew him. His smile was contagious, and he always had words of hope and encouragement. He was strong resilient, kind, loving, and generous. He was very proud of his service with the Chicago Police Department and loved to tell stories from the past. But he loved nothing more than his family, especially his wife of 51 years, Eileen who preceded him in death. He was lost without her and now they are reunited in heaven. Carl was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, and grandson Brett Shane.
Carl is survived by children Josie Cook, Eddie Pedersen, Carla Spencer, Candy Schooley, Ricki Craven, and Bryant Lee Shane; grandchildren Hannah Pasos, Lilly Hooper, Jordan Bonner, Coby Andrews, Jack Andrews, Ariel Hanlon, Zak Shane, Kendra Shane, along with numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
An entombment service to celebrate Carl’s life will be held at 1 pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with Kevin Shurum officiating. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service in the mausoleum.
Special thanks and love go to those that were not related by blood but were every bit of family and held a special place in Carl’s heart. Future son-in-law Glenn Peterson, Jenny Reynolds, Frank Reynolds, and Leslie Scovill. Thank You for making a difference when it mattered most. Carl was a devoted husband, loving father and The Best “Papa” In The World.
