Brian Lee Brooks, age 50 of Portland, TN went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Brian was born on April 19, 1976 in Gallatin, Tennessee.
Brian is preceded in death by his father, Richard Brinkley, Sr. and son, Justin Lane Brooks.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cary Brooks; mother, Melissa Brinkley; sons, Garrett Brooks, Gibson Brooks and Aaron Brooks; brother, Richard (Andrea) Brinkley, Jr.; sisters, Julie (Brian) Ferguson, Danielle (Kris) Kinslow and Amber (Darrick) Graves; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Elder Darrell Withers officiating. Interment will follow the service at Rock Bridge Cemetery with Joe Greer, Bryan Cothron, Darrick Graves, Josh Brooks, Richard Brooks and Ryan Patterson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Chris House, Rick Wales, Barry West, Anthony Ashworth and Monte Nelson. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 10th from 2:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, July 11th from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM.
