Brenda Gail Hunter, age 78, of Portland, passed away with her family by her side on July 20th, 2022 at Vanderbilt Palliative Care in Nashville, TN.
Mrs. Hunter was born in Portland, TN to the late Blonnie & Ethel George.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne George & sister, Betty Briley.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her children, Cindi George Henson & Kelly Hunter Chastain; grandchildren, Chad Henson, Caitlyn Henson, Desire` Chastain Dalton, & Koby Chastain; great-grandchildren, Kashtyn Murdock & Elijah Chastain; sisters, Jane (David) Harper & Beverly Groves; brother, Bobby (Liz) George.
Funeral service for Mrs. Hunter will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 24th, 2022 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Treadway & Bro. David Harper officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Hunter will be on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm & on Sunday, July 24th, 2022 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
Interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery.
Chad Henson, Koby Chastain, Wesley Groves, James Groves, Nick Groves, & Jake Strunk will serve as pallbearers.
