Mrs. Bonnie Leigh Minton Chandler, age 94 of Gallatin, TN, passed away gracefully and filled with peace on September 10, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Bonnie was born October 11, 1927 in England, AR to the late Ernest and Bertie Minton.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Hoyt Minton, Jr.; husband, Wesley T. Chandler, Jr.; daughters, Cheryl Chandler Terry and Phyllis Chandler Hovenden; grandson, Trent Jordan Bradford and son-in-law, Joseph Henry Bradford.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Chandler Bradford and Debbie Chandler Bransford (Ted); grandchildren and their families, Jodi Leigh Foster (Kirk, Kennedy, Oakley); Amanda Bransford Cooper (Clay, Carter, Emerson, Sawyer, Micah); Abby Terry Brosche (Nick, Jack, Sullivan); Wesley Bransford (Ashley, Sebastian, Alayna, Addison, Jordan, Samuel) and Jonathan Hovenden; son-in-law, Darrell Terry (Rosie); nieces and nephews, Rita Chandler Webb, James Chandler (Polly), Carol Chandler Varley (Richard), Connie Chandler Gaines (Lamar) and cousin, Curtis “Buddy” Bowls (Charlotte).

Bonnie Chander loved her Lord Jesus Christ. After moving to Gallatin in 1944, she began attending First Baptist Church. She fulfilled His great commission with her gift of writing and sending cards. This along with her beloved Homebound Ministry at FBC Gallatin, gave her countless opportunities to bless both individuals and families.

Bonnie also worked for 55 years serving and clothing all members of her community with dignity and elegance. Bonnie passionately cherished her family. She raised 4 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She deeply loved and supported each one. Her legacy was to lead her family and others to Jesus. “Well done good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Dr. Travis Fleming officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens with Wesley Bransford, Nick Brosche, Clay Cooper, Steve Duke, Kirk Foster and Jonathan Hovenden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Margaret Jones and Rovena Romans. Visitation will be Monday, September 12 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 13 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
