Bobbye June Six (Young), age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born on April 5, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee. The Celebration of Life Gathering is Friday, February 20, 2026 from 3-6 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN.
Bobbye was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. Young and Helen (Conatser) Young. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Howard R. Six; her son, Robert H. Six (Karen); her daughter, Kimberley Holcomb; her granddaughter, Sarah (Jordan); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Everett. She is also survived by her sister, Joy Almond, along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Bobbye had an unmistakable zest for life and was known as a sassy fireball. She never liked to sit still and approached each day with energy and humor. Her lifelong love of horses brought her endless joy, and she was actively involved for many years with both the American Saddlebred Horse Association and the American Hackney Horse Society.
She also enjoyed golfing and spent countless hours on the course with Howard, playing together whenever time and weather allowed. Crafting and knitting kept her hands busy and her creativity alive, along with stained glass. Her beautiful creations were proudly displayed throughout her home, each piece a reflection of her artistic spirit. Bobbye also loved shopping and traveling, always eager for the next adventure.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro.
