Bobby E. Brown

Bobby E. (Bob) Brown, 83, left this world peacefully for his heavenly home on December 11, 2021.

Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all his family and friends. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Gallatin.

Bob believed in hard work and began as a paperboy at age 12. He opened his own heating and air business, Brown’s Mechanical Contractors, and then Brown and Saunders Mechanical. He joined TEAM Air and was instrumental in opening heating and air distribution stores in Nashville, Bowling Green, Knoxville, and Gallatin before he retired. He was a talented craftsman and loved “fixing” and building things. He could usually be found fixing or building the next needed thing after searching on his iPad for ideas or directions.

Bob was preceded in death by parents, Bailey and Callie (Neill) Brown, brothers Fowler Brown, Earl Brown and Jesse (Willard) Brown, mother of his children, Patricia Duke Brown, grandchildren Kristin Griffin and Richard Brown.

He is survived by loving wife of 38 years Carolyn Brown, daughter, Kimberly Gann (Stuart), Teresa McKnight, Debbie Hathaway (Kenny), Dawn Griffin (Tony Newberry), and son Ricky Brown (Gayle). Grandchildren Patricia Brown (Danny Dobbs), Misty Kacar (Milan), Jay Griffin (Amanda), Matt Griffin, Tracci Barnes (Eric), Cody McKnight (Tiffany Ausbrooks), Alisha Stafford (Travis), Sarah Ferguson (Darrin), and Jaerica Troutt (Brady). Great-grandchildren C.J. Rollin, Trace Kelley, Ashton Kelley, Katelynn Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Vanessa Stafford, Holley Stafford, Avery Barnes, Lexie Barnes, Fayden Dobbs, Reese Kacar, Clair Kacar, Cooper Kacar, Brody Griffin, Jocelyn Troutt, Ty Powell, and Julia Kate Griffin.

Serving as Pallbearers are family and friends, Stuart Gann, Tony Newberry, Kenny Hathaway, Jay Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Cody McKnight, and Boone Walker.

A visitation for Bob is planned for Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 3 to 8 PM at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin, TN, and from 10 AM until time of the celebration of life service on Wednesday, December 15 at 12:00 with Pastor Travis Fleming and Minister Doyle Farris officiating. Masks are appreciated.
