Betty Lou Heath, age 91 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Mrs. Heath was born December 20, 1931 in Macon County to Jasper Hauskins and Emma Krantz Hauskins; in addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, J. R. Heath; son, Tim Heath; daughters, Nancy Crook and Debbie Ackerman; great-granddaughter, Allison Bare.
She is survived by daughter, Tina Heath of Gallatin; daughter-in-law, Margo Heath of Lebanon; daughter-by-choice, Cathy Young (Ray) of Gallatin; grandchildren, Kristen Heath Bare, Richard Ackerman, Daniel Heath (Ashlie), Jonathan Ackerman, John Thomas Ferrell (Sarah Marie), Maria Weaver (Billy), and Natalie Fitton (Conar); great grandchildren, Mitchell Bare, Evan Bare, Turner Heath, Chaney Heath, Jade Ackerman Cain, Jon Michael Ackerman, Finley Ferrell, Livi Ferrell, Caroline Fitton, Teddy Fitton, Lucas Madrigal, and Hannah Madrigal; and great-great grandchildren, Aria Cain and Averie Cain.
She retired from Heath Furniture and Appliance after over 20 years of service. Mrs. Heath was the youngest of ten children and loved taking care of family and friends.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Ray Young officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 2nd from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 3rd from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Richard Ackerman, Daniel Heath, Jonathan Ackerman, John Thomas Ferrell, Mitchell Bare, Turner Heath, Evan Bare, and Lucas Madrigal serving as pallbearers.
