Beth Bucklin, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 27 at the age of 86.

Beth was born on January 23, 1937 in Cape Elizabeth, ME to Ruth and Bill Clish.

Beth and her husband, Larry, were high school sweethearts and married shortly after Beth received her associate degree from Westbrook College. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last October. They had three daughters together and resided in several cities and states before settling in Hendersonville in 1974. She was devoted to her family and loved nothing more than a house full of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Beth was an avid bridge player and was a member of several clubs over the years. She was an accomplished vocalist and musician, playing both the cello and piano, and gave lessons to beginning students for several years. She loved boating, spending many summer weekends on Old Hickory Lake. She and her husband also enjoyed annual snow skiing trips and travels with dear friends and family.

Beth is survived by her three daughters, Jean (David) Gadra, Mary (Daniel) Palermo, and Jenny (Chad) Morgan, her grandchildren Evan, Derek, and Daniel Seehausen, Elyse and Ethan Gadra, Adam and Jenna Palermo, Jordan, Sydney, Wyatt, and Ryley Marez, Lindsey, Caleb, and Isabella Morgan, and her great-grandchildren Lola Seehausen, Karis, Norah, Shiloh, and Raema Bond, and Nevaeh, Dawson, and Gatlin Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Bucklin.

A private service will be held in Maine this summer. Donations are being gratefully accepted in her memory to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
