Mr. Bernard G. “Bernie” Ellis, Jr. passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, he was 91 years old.
Bernie was born in Nashville, TN on July 27, 1931, to Bernard G. Ellis, Sr. and Jimmie Lee Davis.
Bernie worked and retired from AT&T after 39 years of dedicated service. He loved fishing, bird hunting, and was a “Jack of all Trades” being able to fix anything. Bernie was married to the love of his life Jean (Jackson) Ellis for 72 years.
Bernie is preceded in death by his Father, Mother, and Stepfather Sterling Moseley; his son Michael Ellis; and son-in-law Jim Jobe.
He is survived by his loving wife Jean; children Carol Jobe, Connie Hamson, Nancy Tomlinson, Pat Weber, and Sharon Ensminger; 16 grandchildren and 20+ great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 10 am-12 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, located at 1001 Lebanon Pike Nashville, TN at 1 pm. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
