Ava Jones 73, of Portland TN, passed away unexpectedly on July 16,2026.
She was born December 3, in Princeton KY, to Betty and Marvin Hawks, raised by her grandmother Melville Sheridan, of Princeton.
Ava will always be remembered for her artistic flair, creative style, and her quick wit.
Ava is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wesley Jones of Portland, TN; her daughter Amber Jones; granddaughter Ariadne Rausch of Sand Springs, OK; and grandson Thomas Gearlds of Hopkinsville, KY.
Ava was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, and brother Barry Doss of Atlanta, GA.
Celebration of life services are being planned.
Her family requests in lieu of flowers, donate to your local animal shelter.
She will be missed.
