Arthur Marlin, Jr., age 91, of Portland, passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Portland, TN on August 24th, 1933 to the late Arthur Bryan Marlin & the late Hallie Mae Civils-Marlin.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Marlin was preceded in death by his sisters, Virgie Marlin, Carolyn Marlin, Imogene Binion, Janice Binion, Ida Mae Stevens; brother, Tommy Marlin.
Mr. Marlin is survived by son, Curtis (Sharon) Marlin of Portland; daughters, Tammy (Phillip) Frensley of Pensacola, FL, & Laurie Bandy of Portland, TN; grandchildren, Anna Blair Bandy, Lucy (Jon) Hill, Sophia (Robert) Dean, Dalton (Emma) Bandy, Isabella (Chris) King; great grandchildren, Charis Hill, Genevieve Frensley, Vivienne Frensley, Hudson Frensley, & Kaya Hill (on the way); brother, John Harvey of Franklin, KY.
Funeral service for Mr. Marlin will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Phillip Frensley & David Webb officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Marlin will be on Monday, December 9th, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm & on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Mitchellville General Baptist Church Cemetery with Army Military Honors.
Terry Binion, Larry Binion, Billy Arnold, Derrick Marlin, Dalton Bandy, & Wayne Bandy will serve as pallbearers.
