Dr. Scott Langford, Sumner County Director of Schools, is pleased to announce that he has named Kyle Gilliland as the new principal of White House High School.
Kyle Gilliland has spent the past five years as the assistant principal at White House High School. He also spent eighteen years as a classroom teacher and coach at Station Camp High School and Gallatin High School. He is replacing Ann Miller who has been named the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Sumner County Schools.
“I am truly thankful to continue to be a part of this school and community,” Mr. Gilliland said. “I want to express my sincere appreciation to Ann Miller, Lynne Hall, Art Crook, David Hallman, and Scott Langford for their guidance and friendship throughout my career. It’s an honor to follow in the footsteps of such outstanding educational leaders. When I first joined this team, I said I was blessed to call this place home. Five years later, that feeling has only deepened. I’ve learned so much from working alongside this faculty, and I’ve seen every day how much they care for our kids, each other, and the work we do together. We’re excited to carry on the White House High School mission of being fully dedicated to doing what’s best for kids.”
“Mr. Gilliland has excelled as a teacher and assistant principal,” Dr. Langford said, “Beyond being strong intellectually, Kyle connects teachers, students, and the community together in powerful ways. I am excited for his future leadership at WHHS.”
