Man Charged in Alleged Drive-By Shooting in Hendersonville

UPDATE: The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is now involved in the investigation, as evidence suggests the suspect may have been illegally poaching deer. At this time, it is not believed the suspect was firing directly at homes or individuals.

December 23, 2024 – On Saturday night, the Hendersonville Police Department responded to reports of a possible drive-by shooting near Riverwood and Cumberland Drive.

Sumner County Deputies quickly located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Deputies located multiple firearms and several spent shell casings inside the vehicle.

The suspect was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, driving under the influence, and possession of a handgun while under the influence.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident. No injuries have been reported at this time.
