Deputies in Sumner County arrested a man after a string of incidents in the Cottontown area early Friday.
The situation began with a hit-and-run crash on Highway 25, followed by the theft of heavy equipment from a farm and a residence. Another nearby home was later burglarized.
Deputies identified and arrested Derek Fyke in connection with the offenses. Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the community and thanked residents for their patience during the investigation.
