Lona Belle Parker, age 102 of Goodlettsville, TN passed away peacefully on May 31, 2021. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, James F. Parker, Sr., her son James F. Parker Jr., her son-in-law Richard Sadler and her grandson Tony Dorris. She was born in Robertson County to John and Jenny Meadows, the youngest of seven children. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Sadler and Linda Dorris (Billy Wayne); four grandchildren, Annette Dorris, Michael Dorris (Kim), Lisa Chester-Sharp (Ted), and Chuck Sadler (Amanda); eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and loving niece, Carolyn Meadows. Lona Belle served her Lord as a member of First Baptist Church in Goodlettsville for seventy-three years. She was an excellent gardener and seamstress. Lona Belle grew up working in the fields on a farm. She was a hard worker who held many jobs throughout her life. To her loving family and many others as well, she was fondly known as Momma B. Her family would like to thank Fran Burton for her dedication and care to Momma B over the last years. Visitation with her family on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Goodlettsville at 10:00 am on Friday, June 4th with visitation an hour before the service. Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Great-granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
