On June 2, 2025, the Hendersonville Police Department was notified of vehicle burglaries at YMCA and Texas Roadhouse in Hendersonville.
Investigation into the matter revealed that the incidents were related to similar crimes at Vol State Community College in Gallatin. Vol State Police provided information from their investigation that led to the identification of Chad Hayes (38) of Lebanon, TN. Detectives located Hayes in Lebanon and confirmed his involvement in the burglaries in both jurisdictions.
Hayes was arrested on charges from Hendersonville and transported to the Sumner County Jail for 2 Counts of Vehicle Burglary and 1 Count of Theft of Property. Additional charges for Credit Card Fraud and Vehicle Burglary by Vol State Police and Gallatin are anticipated.
