Mr. Leander Jackson Copeland, age 80 of Portland, TN died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his home in Portland, TN. Mr. Copeland was born November 16, 1940 in Livingston, TN the son of the late Zedrick H. And Frankey V. Copeland.
Mr. Copeland is survived by two daughters, Karen Lynn Copeland and Cassandra Ann “Buttons” Copeland. His son, Leander Jackson Copeland II. Two brothers, Jerry Mack Copeland and Earl Douglas Copeland. Four sisters; Anna Faye Copeland, Johnny B. Copeland, Landra Sue Copeland, and June Marie Copeland. Five grandchildren; John Copeland, Renee Copeland, Brycenn Graves, Gavin Graves, and Marlie Graves, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Leander was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Copeland, two grandchildren Joshua Copeland and Bodee Young. His brother, Gilbert Copeland and his sister, Gwendolyn Copeland.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Portland, TN. Burial will follow at Portland Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
