Investigation Underway Following Armed Robbery at Construction Site

August 12, 2024 – The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery that occurred on August 7th, 2024 at about 7:00 am at a construction site on Gaines Hill Road in Westmoreland.

The victim, who was the only worker present, reported that a white 4-door truck with a Kentucky license plate pulled up to his location and two individuals were inside. The suspect, the front passenger, got out of the vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victim while demanding money. The victim was able to describe the suspect with the help of a TBI sketch artist as a Hispanic male with a tan complexion, 5’7” to 6’ tall, of medium build, wearing a gray t-shirt and black jeans. The suspect is reported to speak fluent Spanish with an American-accented influence.
