From Hendersonville Police
On 10-3-22 the Hendersonville Police Department received a complaint of theft where an immobile victim had medication stolen by their hired caretaker.
Hendersonville Detectives began investigating and learned that the caretaker in question had come to the victim’s resident on her off time and that the theft had occurred during that period.
The caretaker then quit their job upon initiation of the investigation by police and their employer.
On 10-6-22 Rachael Marie Butler was taken into custody after speaking with Detectives.
Charges of Neglect of a Vulnerable Adult, Resale of Schedule II, and Theft of Property under $1,000 were obtained and Butler was transported to the Sumner County Jail awaiting a hearing in General Sessions Court.
