Deputies arrested Christopher Carson after locating him at a residence in Hendersonville, where he barricaded himself inside the home, leading to a standoff that lasted several hours.
Authorities say Carson was taken into custody without incident after deputies were able to safely resolve the situation.
Carson had active warrants out of Georgia for failure to register as a sex offender, along with multiple warrants out of Dickson County related to sex offender registration violations, residential violations, and violation of an order of protection.
Officials praised the deputies involved for their professionalism, restraint, and patience during the incident, noting that their training and decision-making led to a safe outcome. The Hendersonville Police Department was also recognized for its assistance and interagency cooperation.
