Hendersonville Police Arrest Suspect In ATM Theft

An investigation into attempted ATM thefts in Sumner County led to an arrest in Hendersonville and uncovered potential ties to crimes across multiple states.

On December 20, 2025, around 6:30 p.m., Gallatin Police Department issued a BOLO to surrounding agencies for a suspect and vehicle wanted in connection with an attempted felony theft involving ATM machines in Gallatin. Authorities say the suspect attempted to break into ATMs in that city.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Hendersonville officers located a vehicle matching the description on East Main Street near Cherokee Road and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect was inside the vehicle, and officers discovered tools believed to have been used in the attempted theft.

After checking financial institutions within the city, Hendersonville Police determined that two local bank locations had also been targeted.

Further investigation revealed the suspect may be connected to multiple felony thefts across several states, ranging from Texas to Kentucky. Authorities say the suspect’s actions have contributed to the theft of millions of dollars across those states.

Hendersonville Police credited their officers for their work in the investigation.
