Hendersonville PD Arrest Nashville Teen in Car Theft, Burglary

August 16, 2024 – On August 9, 2024, the Hendersonville Police Department received a report about suspicious individuals in the 100 block of Monthaven Blvd. The complainant reported two people dressed in all black walking through the parking lot.

Police officers arrived at the scene and found one vehicle that had been burglarized and another unoccupied vehicle that was running. After checking the unoccupied vehicle, it was discovered that it had been stolen from Nashville. The police collected evidence from the scene. The police later received another report of a stolen vehicle from the 100 block of Monthaven Blvd during the time frame of the suspicious individuals. Officers observed the reported stolen vehicle leaving the area as they arrived to investigate the suspicious individuals. The stolen vehicle was later located and recovered in Nashville. The Hendersonville Police identified Malik T. Dobbins (18) from Nashville, TN, as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.

On August 15, 2024, Malik T. Dobbins was arrested in Nashville, TN, by the Metro Police Department’s Vehicle Crime Unit without incident. Malik T. Dobbins is charged with Theft over $10,000, Theft over $2,500, Burglary, and Theft under $1,000. Malik T. Dobbins is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court, Sumner County, TN, on August 28, 2024.
